LEARN HOW TO MAKE A

FELT DRINK BOTTLE COOLER

and in the process learn basic wet-felting techniques using a resist template.

This is an easy little workshop and once you have made one you will be able to make more in different sizes for different bottles.

DON'T MISS OUT BECAUSE YOU ARE BUSY WHEN THE WORKSHOP IS ON OR IT IS TOO FAR AWAY. YOU CAN DO THIS AT A TIME THAT SUITS YOU, IN YOUR OWN SPACE. YAY!

Included in this workshop:
  • How to make your soapy solution
  • How to pull tiles/shingles from roving and batts. You will learn what these are too.
  • How to lay out the fibres  and wet them down
  • How to use a resist template to make a 3D object, in this case a cooler, without any seams or sewing

Belle, your tutor, will lead you through the video workshop showing you step by step how to make the cooler, from beginning to end. Just as though you were in her studio at one of her in-house workshops.

Even better, you can play the videos multiple times over the 6 weeks you will have access to them. As a bonus, the PDFs can all be downloaded and kept.

There are a number of technique PDFs and videos along with the main workshop videos. They show you how to make your gel soap and soapy water solution, how to pull the fibre from the roving and how to do a pinch test

  • By the end of the workshop you will not only have a very useful felt cooler, you will also have the basic techniques to move on to more difficult project workshops

You can dye it, spin it, weave it or felt it. You can make garments with it or use it to make 2D or 3D artworks. "Trained to teach, Belle began holding workshops in her studio several years ago. She loves passing on her knowledge to others."I had built up quite a following but kept getting messages from people saying they couldn't make it to a workshop because it was on the wrong day, or they lived too far away. So I decided to make my workshops available online so everyone could do them when it suited them."You can see some of the work Belle creates and sells by following her facebook page, Beljays Felt

When you can't get to a workshop because you are already busy that day or you live too far away, Beljays Felt Studio online workshops are the next best thing.
